New women are warmly invited to come along to this ongoing Wellington support group
for discussion, support and weekly topics relating to depression.
The ThroughBlue board has made the decision to move to online meetings to protect the safety and well-being of our group members.

We welcome any new group members, so to join us please apply here

In a nutshell:

  • Online - Groups will be run online using ZOOM.
  • Format - groups will follow the same format of a meditation, sharing, break, workshop and final round.
  • Time - groups will still start at the same time. Monday 6.30pm and Friday 12.30pm
  • Privacy - we ask that group members attend group in a room where no one else is able to hear the session. We suggest a bedroom or study with the door closed. This is to ensure the continued privacy of the group. You will be sent further information about this in the invitation email.
  • Video - we ask all group members attend in video (not sound only), with your actual name, to protect the safety of group members and provide the personal interaction so many of us value at group.
  • Cost - to keep the administration time down for our volunteers, we are asking group members to pay for 5 sessions in advance. $25 for unwaged and $50 for waged. As always, if you have any problems meeting this cost, please come to us and we can arrange something with you.
  • Attendance - you can attend both groups, we know some people are needing extra support right now, so you are always welcome at ThroughBlue.
  • Counsellors - Anji will be running these session with a WelTec student as normal.
  • Dora the support bunny - will still be in attendance at Friday - virtual cuddles!
We will open the ZOOM room half an hour before group, so that you can login beforehand and check that everything is working.

The support groups meet every Monday 6:30 - 8:30pm and every Friday 12.30 - 2.30pm. For more information click here.
